So...I guess I'm going to update some stuff I guess....I don't really think anyone reads these anyway but here I go!
So, first off lets talk about art. Art is everywhere, in general and in my life right now. I have my art class which we just finished working on a still life of a bicycle with just pencil, we are now working on anatomy. There my job, which is basically an art studio and I'm working on a piece based on shahzia sikander work. So since she usually incorporates her historical culture in her pieces I decided to do my piece based on my American and Colombian heritage, when I finish it I will probably upload it. There's this program I'm in after school that i'm pretty darn excited about. I get to go to this fancy art school and there work along someone who specializes in the field of art that i'm interested and work on a project of my choosing. For my project I wanted to come out with three digital pieces (So I'm going to have to learn how to use photoshop and everything \0/ yay) I want my final products to be based on a story that I am currently working on; Which takes place in a post-apocalyptic, steampunk era with a brain washing government and deck washing pirates (I might upload it on here one day. I currently have 4 chapters done and working on the 5th). So, from these three pieces I want on to depict the dome wall and how it separates the utopian city from the struggling outcast of the outskirts. A second piece show a battle between two pirate ships (The story mostly revolves around the pirate ships one being the 'good guys' and the other ship the 'bad guys'). And a third piece of airship that the government patrol in, I want it to show a port hole from the inside looking out to the exterior of another airship. I think I might be biting off more than I can chew but I have 10 weeks and hopefully a lot of help, and I don't like to give up! Other than that I do like to draw at home but with all this stuff I think i'm good. The only other things that are big in my life right now is the story I'm writing (which I mentioned above) and reading. I've read a lot in the past few months!! I've read Leviathan and Behemoth by Scott Westerfeld (I orders Goliath and am waiting for it to come in) I don't usually have favorites, like I don't have a favorite food, or anime, or movie. Only recently have I decided that my favorite color is maroon and that my most favorite book of all time is Leviathan. I honestly LOVE that book! I feel like it was written for me, it's everything I could ask for from a book, it's well written and I love the characters and the plot and ughhh It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside! I've read Ashes of Twilight by Kassy Tayler which was also quite well, I really like the story line but I don't really like the fact that it was written in first person, but don't get me wrong the book was still amazing! I think she should write a sequel, I really want to know what happens to Wren and everyone else. And then I've read The Maze runner by James Dashner which I found realllllly interesting too. I'm currently reading the second book. Something I noticed is that both Ashes of Twilight and The maze runner had something to do with the earth burning, one by a comet the other by solar flares. And that both the author and the main character of their story are the same gender. And finally that they both fall in love with someone with black hair and blue eyes, which is funny because while reading the book in my head I change the love interest in Ashes of Twilight's hair to blond instead of Black and the love interest in The Maze Runner's eyes brown instead of blue. Just something I changed intentionally, funny how we perceive things.
